My audio files don't play on BrightSign
If your audio file isn't playlist, it might be an unsupported format, or doesn't meet the required
specifications to play on the BrightSign. Make sure your audio file meets the following
requirements:
MP3s with a 44Khz or 48Khz
(HD2000 only) WAV files are also supported
Troubleshooting Playlists
Before attempting to resolve any playlist problems on BrightSign, please start with this checklist.
1 Make sure the playlist and your content are in the root of the flash card.
2 Make sure the playlist file is named AUTOPLAY.BSP.
3 Download a BrightSign playlist demo and confirm that it plays.
Playlists that I create using MacOS don't work
This is most likely caused by improper formatting of the playlist. Playlists must be plain text files.
1 Use Tex tE di t to edit and save your playlists.
2 Open TextEdit preferences, and choose plain text as the default format.
3 Go to the Open & Save tab, an choose Western (Windows Latin 1).
The demo files I downloaded work in my playlist, but my files do not
If the demo files play, then the problem could be with your files, not the playlist. Normally, if files
don't play at all, there's a problem with the content format.
1 Remove any non-alpha numeric characters from your file names. For example, the symbol
+ is not acceptable in a file name.
2 See Content Playback for more help solving content related problems.
